Plot summary (from Metacritic): “In this ninth entry in the ‘Legend of Zelda’ series, Link debuts on GameCube with a fun new cel-shaded look, but the game stays true to the respected heritage of the series https://backlinkbuilder.biz/bonuses/no-deposit/free-no-deposit/. The classic mix of sword-swinging action, perplexing puzzles and stirring story lines remains intact, but the stunning cel-shaded graphics give the people and places of Link’s watery world a wildly artistic new look. And for the very first time, Link sails freely on the high seas. Join Link on his most epic and scenic adventure yet. Face unimaginable monsters, explore puzzling dungeons, and meet a cast of unforgettable characters as he searches for his kidnapped sister, Aryll.”

Not only does Marvel Snap take great advantage of the Marvel license — utilizing a huge cast of characters and locations from the iconic comic property, and celebrating some absolutely incredible art — it also upends many of the conventions of the collectible card game (CCG) genre. Designed first and foremost for mobile, decks are small, games are short and both sides play their cards simultaneously, making the gameplay all about anticipating what your opponent will do and adapting your game plan accordingly. The three locations where you play your characters to each match are also randomized, adding another significant wildcard element. Marvel Snap even eschews the traditional booster packs used by basically every CCG since Magic: The Gathering and instead ties card acquisition to a progression track that players work their way down over the long haul. While some of these design elements have serious drawbacks, Marvel Snap is still a breath of fresh air and packed with personality.

All Ghillied Up was my first glimpse of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare in action, and as two camouflaged snipers worked their way through an irradiated Pripyat in Ukraine, I was instantly hooked. The highlight – not just of the demo but arguably of the entire game – was watching, breath held, as an entire armored patrol trundled past, inches from our hiding spot, and it’s a moment of tension that’s never been matched in a shooter since. Electric set-pieces and superb pacing make Modern Warfare’s single-player campaign one of the most memorable first-person shooters ever, but it’s the perfectly balanced multiplayer that made it the de rigueur online game for years to follow. Multiplayer shooters were never the same again. – Alex Simmons (Read Our Review)

The Diablo franchise offers some of the most classic gameplay for dungeon crawler ARPGs, set in a dark world known as Sanctuary, where hordes of demons are continuously making the lives of all humans quite hopeless. After the hero of the first Diablo game recklessly presumed he could contain Diablo’s essence within himself, Diablo 2 picks up where that hero has become corrupted. This title includes all the most iconic characters in the franchise, including Deckard Cain, Baal, Mephisto, and more.

VR is still a relatively young medium, and while plenty of games had already showed off its exciting potential, none of them had actually harnessed it so completely before Half-Life: Alyx. It raised the bar to astronomical heights – for what a VR campaign could look like, what VR shooting could feel like, and how a VR story could move you. Part of its strength comes from how completely it embraced that medium, pushing the player to investigate every corner and crevice in a way traditional 2D games simply can’t. But while that masterful design unequivocally positions it as the best VR game ever game, its incredible world, story, and encounters (and the way they set the stage for the future of Half-Life) make it a truly impressive FPS regardless of platform. – Tom Marks (Read Our Review)

Game 3 world series

FWIW, per @ESPNStatsInfo: Teams trailing 2-0 in a best-of-7 World Series are 1-17 in Game 3 when trailing by multiple runs at any point and have lost 17 in a row. The only win was the Tigers in 1908 against the Cubs (trailed 3-1, won 8-3). Dodgers lead 3-0.

Outside of an Aaron Judge walk…nothing going for the Yanks in the bottom of the eighth. Juan Soto lined out, and then both Giancarlo Stanton and Jazz Chisholm struck out. (Stanton fell victim to another generous interpretation of the strike zone.)

How will the bullpens line up after the starter?Rangers: With the off-day on Sunday, the majority of the Rangers’ bullpen should be in good shape for Game 3 in Arizona, especially as Bochy avoided his club’s high-leverage arms in the Game 2 blowout loss.

At the other end of the spectrum, Walker is just 5-for-44 (.114) over his past 13 games, though he hit three balls with an exit velocity greater than 100 mph in Game 2 — and was robbed of a pair of hits.
